Juneteenth Holiday Closures
On Thursday, the United States officially added a new legal public holiday. Each year on June 19, Juneteenth (also known as Freedom Day and Emancipation Day) celebrates emancipation and the end of slavery. In observance of the holiday, all Washoe County Library locations will be closed on Friday, June 18 and Saturday, June 19, along with most other Washoe County offices.
