Washoe County Library System is excited to announce the grand reopening of the Sierra View Library. You are invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration, on Wednesday, May 17, at 3 pm.
The monthly meeting of the Washoe County Library Board of Trustees will immediately follow the event at 4 pm. |

This week we will be working with the vinyl cutter and heat press. You can make a simple sticker for your car window or water bottle, or you can make a personalized tote bag or T-shirt. Choose a simple, two-tone image from the internet, or bring a flash drive with an image file you created.

Libraries will be opening late on Thursday, May 18, to accommodate a staff in-service training day.
All branches will open at 2 pm, except the Duncan/Traner, Gerlach, Sparks, and Verdi libraries, which will be closed all day, |

The Sparks Library will be closed for flooring repairs next week.
The branch will be closed starting Monday, May 15 and is expected to reopen on Tuesday, May 23. |

The Library Board meets regularly on the third Wednesday of each month, usually at one of the library's twelve locations. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend in person or remotely through Zoom.

The Friends are back! The next Friends of Washoe County Library book sale is happening June 3-11 during its new sale hours, 10 am-4 pm, inside the Reno Town Mall. Early shopping is available to members only from 3-6 pm on Friday, June 2. Become a member today or join at the door.
