PAWS 2 READ

In this reading program for children of all ages, friendly therapy dogs from Paws 4 Love lend a loving, non-judgmental ear to beginning readers. After reading to a gentle dog, children receive a free book.


Paws 2 Read will be at several Washoe County Libraries this week.

The Fleischmann Planetarium Turns 60

This November, Fleischmann Planetarium, will turn 60-years-old. Planetarium director Paul McFarlane will tell us how a scientist and musician, a visionary architect, a topnotch engineer, a construction company, and a curator with an imagination that stretched to the edge of the cosmos created this historic institution.
