Join us at the Northwest Reno library for a showing of the documentary film Light in the Water and a chat with the director, Reno native Lis Bartlett.
Light in the Water chronicles the birth and life of the West Hollywood Aquatics Club, the first openly gay masters swim team. Founded to train for the inaugural Gay Olympic Games in 1982, the team is a lens through which to study LGBTQIA+ history in America.
Lis Bartlett will be discussing her inspiration and process of creating this daytime Emmy-nominated film, as well as answering questions from attendees.
