Discover & Go

Did you know all Washoe County residents with valid library cards can get free or discounted passes to dozens of museums and other cultural attractions.

There are four local institutions participating in Discover & Go--the Nevada Museum of Art, the National Automobile Museum, Fleischmann Planetarium, and the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum--as well as dozens of Northern California museums, science centers, theaters, and zoos.

Board of Trustees Meeting

The Library Board meets regularly on the third Wednesday of each month, usually at one of the library's twelve locations. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend in person or remotely through Zoom.

Sierra View Library Closed for Renovations

Washoe County Library System is making planned renovations to the Sierra View Library. The branch is currently closed, with an anticipated reopening in February 2023.
