It's warming up outside and the library invites you to join the Summer Reading fun!
There's something for all ages during the months of June and July.
Attend our in-person programs and performances and pick up
free take-and-make kits full of crafts and DIY projects.
Register in person for Summer Reading beginning June 1 - pick up your challenge sheets and starter bags at all library locations.
There will be lots of great prizes for those who participate in the reading challenges!
Young readers, children, teens, and adults who finish will have a chance to win
one of our grand prize gift baskets, full of great goodies and passes!

Family Garden Workshop
If You Plant It, They Will Come:
A Guide to Planting For Birds, Bees, and Butterflies

Thursday, June 30, 6-7pm, Canton
The second Family Garden Workshop is all about planting for pollinators.
In this session, we will explore planting with purpose for birds, bees, and butterflies.
Participants will take home a plant to support pollinators in their home garden.
The adult part of the program will be led by Master Gardener volunteer Marcia Tate. W
orkshop is ideal for adults, and families with children of all ages.

Fred Chappell Display
Through June 30, Canton
The Canton Branch is proud to host a Fred Chappell "The Bard of Canton” display
in partnership with the Canton Area Historical Museum.
Fred Chappell was raised in Canton, is the author of more than 30 works of fiction, criticism, and poetry, and is a former Poet Laureate of North Carolina.
