Welcome to the DAM! DAM, which stands for Design And Make, is a space for community members of all ages to come learn, practice skills, collaborate, prototype, and problem-solve. The makerspace contains maker technology, such as Arduino kits and Cricut machines. Five sewing machines and a variety of other fiber art equipment is available, from crochet and knitting needles to lap looms and embroidery supplies. Visitors will also find visual art supplies, jewelry-making equipment, button and sticker makers, stamping supplies, scrapbooking and collage materials, soldering stations, and basic tool sets. Summer Reading is Happening Now Through Aug. 15
Summer Reading has begun! This year, adults can read for a good cause by Reading for Compassion. By tracking hours read from June 1 through Aug. 15, participants will help earn hot meals for youth experiencing housing instability through HomePlate Youth Services. Kids (birth to grade 5) and teens (grades 6-12) are invited to Read Beyond the Beaten Path through Aug. 15 and earn a free book. Participants complete 15 hours of reading or listening to someone reading to you (including audiobooks) and try the library's suggested family activities. We also have many events for all ages!
