You can now add a laptop to the list of items to check out on your next visit to Tigard Public Library. Laptops circulate for two weeks, and can be renewed if there are no holds. Laptops circulate with a Wi-Fi hotspot, so you can access the internet anywhere you go. Find out more or place a hold on our website, and be sure to tell your friends!

More than 8,200 students will receive new library accounts in collaboration with the Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD), Tualatin Public Library, and Washington County Cooperative Library Service (WCCLS). If you have a child in kindergarten through fifth grade who doesn't already have a card, watch for an exciting library card delivery in the mail! TTSD students in grades 6-12 can use their student ID number to check out materials in-person and online. Students who already have library accounts can continue to use their existing cards. More information is available through their school or tigard-or.gov/student. If you have a student in your life who doesn’t have a card, ask us about getting one, and contact us with any questions.

Tuesdays & Thursdays | 10:30-11 a.m. Story times on January 13th and 27th will be held bilingually in English and Spanish Kids & Families | Virtual Program Gather the whole family for virtual story time! We will share stories, sing songs, and have all sorts of fun. We will email you a link to join the story time one hour before the program begins.Registration is required. Wednesday, January 19 | 4:30-6 p.m. Ages 10-14 | Virtual Program Citizens of Tweendom unite! Join us for a chat with fun and games in a virtual space held just for you! The Tweendom is a place designed especially for 10-14 year-olds to enjoy age-appropriate activities with their peers.

Teens in grades 6-12 | Virtual Program You know what the library needs? YOU! Be a leader. Join Teen Library Council and help plan events for all ages and set the direction for teen library services, all while earning volunteer credit. This program will be available to access only for the dates January 15th and 16th via a dedicated website where you can find tutorials, techniques, skills, and tips and tricks from Shannon as she guides you through the process of tidying.
