A throwback picture from 2015. Our friends from Funny Farm Early Learning Center visited us in the library (pre-renovation!). They are still some of our favorite patrons. We are grateful every time we get to see their smiling faces. What are you grateful for during this month of thanksgiving?
The Library is Hiring! We are doing a rare recruitment to find some new part-time and on-call library assistants. Visit gardenhomelibrary.org/jobs for more information, and apply to join our *incredibly fun* crew!
Kanopy Streaming Video Changes
Regular users of Kanopy, the library's streaming video service, may notice some changes in November. On Wednesday, November 1, Kanopy play credits convert to tickets. You will now receive a set number of tickets each month (60), and the “ticket price” of content will range from one to five tickets, with the majority of feature-length films and documentaries costing two tickets. The cost and viewing period for episodic content (i.e., titles in a series) will be based on total running time per season to more accurately reflect the value of bingeable content. With this change, the viewing period for over 75% of episodic content (including all BBC series) will be extended. Titles will be labeled with a ticket value and viewing window, so you will know how many tickets a title will use prior to viewing it.
Community Survey
Have you answered our four-question Community Survey yet? Please take a minute to share your thoughts and help us plan for the future. The survey will be live through Saturday, November 10. Thank you!
Holidays, Programs, Booklists & More In addition to Veteran's Day (THANK YOU VETS!) and Thanksgiving, we're celebrating NaNoWriMo, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction on Nov. 3, and Native American Heritage Month. Keep scrolling to find out more! |
