Hello West Slope Community Library,

Thank you so much for supporting our recent levy. We look forward to continuing our mission to respond to patron's needs and find new ways to serve our community.

The big question on everyone’s mind is when are we going to open our library? Our county public health experts currently advise against opening library buildings for general access.

We are planning to start offering limited holds pickup services later this month when we receive the PPE and other supplies needed to ensure that we can offer this service safely.

As we consider additional incremental services, we will evaluate those using the most current public health criteria and COVID-19 data. This will be determined in part by where Washington County is in the governor’s framework for Reopening Oregon.

Once we know the start date we will send out another newsletter and update our website with the details of how you will be able to utilize this service. We know this is information you – our library community – want to hear.

We’re always available to you online, with Summer Reading programs, e-books and audiobooks. You can also find us, via email, phone, and through our Book a Librarian service. We look forward to seeing you in person again soon!

Thank you for your patience during what we know are trying times. We’ve missed you.

Take care,
Kristen
