Jedi knights, stormtroopers, ewoks, and padawans of all ages, you are invited to a Star Wars Party! Activities! Snacks! A costume contest! A Chewbacca roar contest! Prizes! 

Register for the Star Wars Costume Contest: You! Yes! You! Be a contestant in our costume contest, which will take place during the library’s Star Wars party on Monday, May 1, at 4:00PM! Registration is required. Please register at tinyurl.com/BPstarwars by end of the day on Friday, April 28th.

Registration will close early if we reach capacity. All ages are invited to compete, and winners will receive a small prize.

Please note: you do not need to register to attend this program, but please register if you would like to participate in the costume contest.

Read to a BARK Therapy Dog
Tuesday: May 9th at 6:45PM
Children's Fiction Area
Come read to our dog pals in the children's fiction area.
Readers will receive a time slot with a dog on a first come, first served basis. 
 
All participants 2 years of age and older will be required to wear a mask while participating in this program.
 
No registration is required.
Make a Paper Boba Squishy
May 15th - May 18th, all day
Children's Room
Make a paper boba squishy in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Boba, also known as bubble tea, is a Taiwanese beverage that combines tapioca balls with tea, juice, coffee, and other drinks. 
 
No registration is required. While supplies last.
Egg Drop Challenge
Saturday: May 20th at 11:30AM
Outside behind library building
Kids in grades 2-6, join us for an egg-citing egg drop challenge. We will meet outdoors in the grassy area behind the library building.
 
For children in 2nd-6th grades and their caregivers. Caregivers must accompany children 10 years of age and younger. 
 
No registration is required, but seating is limited.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
Are you passionate, creative, and wanting to represent the teens in your community? Join Buena Park Library's Teen Advisory Board! TAB is a group of teen volunteers who help plan, lead, and advise for teen programs here at the Buena Park Library in exchange for community service hours. 
 
Members should be 14-18 years old and enrolled in high school.
 
Members must be able to commit to serving a full term (6 months minimum)
