In-N-Out Reading Challenge
Saturday: Oct. 5th - Saturday: Nov. 16th
Children's Room
Kids ages 4-12, read to receive up to three free In-N-Out hamburgers, cheeseburgers, or grilled cheese sandwiches. Pick up a reading log in the Children's Room. 
 
Last day to register for this reading challenge is Nov. 16th.
Last day to submit reading log is Nov. 23rd. Child must be present when reading log is submitted.
 
The Library thanks In-N-Out for generously sponsoring this program. 
Read to a BARK Therapy Dog
Tuesday: Nov. 12th at 6:45PM-7:45PM
Children's Fiction Area
Kids 12 and younger, come read to our dog pals in the Children's Fiction Area. Readers will receive a time slot with a dog on a first-come, first-served basis. 
 
No pre-registration is required. Caregivers must accompany children 10 years of age and younger. 
Disguise a Turkey
Monday: Oct. 14th - Wednesday: Nov. 27th
Children's Room, while supplies last
Kids 12 years old and younger, Turkey needs your help. Please disguise him so that he won't be eaten for Thanksgiving supper. Pick up your blank turkey in the Children's Room, give him a disguise, and return him to the Library by November 27th. We will put your disguised turkey on display. 
 
No pre-registration is required. Caregivers must accompany children 10 years of age and younger. 
Gratitude Storytime w/ OCAPICA
Monday: Nov. 25th, 1:00PM-2:00PM
Second-Floor Multipurpose Room
Kids ages 3-12, join us for a special gratitude themed storytime led by our friends at OCAPICA. We will read stories, learn mindfulness exercises to help us shift from worry to gratitude, and make Thanksgiving charm bracelets. While supplies last.

Caregiver and Me Baby Yoga
Tuesday: Nov. 26th, 1:00PM-1:45PM
Second-Floor Multipurpose Room
Babies and toddlers ages 0-3, take a breather during the holidays with a caregiver and me baby yoga class led by instructor Gina Velez. The theme of this class will be giving thanks. 
 
Caregivers will be required to participate with their children.
 
Please bring your own yoga mat; extra mats will not be available. Space is limited. 
 
 No pre-registration is required. 
Kids Yoga
Tuesday: Nov. 26th, 2:00PM-2:45PM
Second-Floor Multipurpose Room

Bob the Blue Pumpkin
Friday: Nov. 1st - Tuesday: Nov. 26th
Children's Room
Kids 12 years old and younger, stop by the Children's Room to estimate how many pom poms are inside Bob the Blue Pumpkin. The child with the closest estimate without exceeding the true number will win a Bluey book advent calendar.  The winner will be contacted on November 27. 
 
No pre-registration is required. Caregivers must accompany children 10 years of age and younger. 
Thankful Turkey
Friday: Nov. 1st - Saturday: Nov. 30th
Children's Room
Happy National Gratitude Month! Stop by the Children's Room, and help us feather our bald turkey by writing what you are thankful for on a feather. We will add your feather to our turkey. Check out our turkey throughout the month to see what others in our community are thankful for and be reminded that we have so much to give thanks for.
 
No pre-registration is required. Caregivers must accompany children 10 years of age and younger.

Cafe Study Sesh
Tuesday: November 12th, 6:00PM-7:30PM
Second-Floor Board Room
Calling all teens in need of caffeine and a study space! Bring your friends to the Library and enjoy some cafe style music, a virtual crackling fire, lattes from 7 Leaves, and snacks for all your cozy cafe needs.
 
Take study breaks at our de-stressor station equipped with fidgets and other calming activities. Basic study materials and charging outlets will be provided.  
 
No registration required. Ages 12-18, come cram with us!
Teen Tuesday Friendsgiving:
Tuesday: November 26th, 6:00PM-7:30PM
Second-Floor Multipurpose Room
Bring a snack, a friend, and your good vibes to our 2nd annual Teens Friendsgiving! Come play board games with us, enjoy fall snacks and cider, watch football and play Friendsgiving Bingo.
 
Teens are welcome but not required to bring pre-packaged snacks to share with the group.

The Buena Park Library will be an Orange County Vote Center from November 2nd - November 5th. Voting will be held in our Multipurpose Room on the second floor.
