Summer is a great time to explore Florida. To celebrate this year's Summer Reading theme, Oceans of Possibilities, the Division of Library and Information Services and Florida State Parks bring you The Real Florida Reader state park pass, which is free to borrow with your Boca Raton Public Library card. The Real Florida Reader state park pass allows single day-use entry for a single passenger vehicle (up to eight people).

Wellness Wednesdays: Pelvic Floor Conditions, Pains, and Dysfunctions

Pelvic floor issues can affect anybody regardless of gender. An understanding of basic anatomy will be presented along with a discussion of the diagnoses of incontinence and pelvic pain. The basics of pelvic floor therapy will also be addressed. This program is coordinated through our healthcare partner, Paradise Home Health Care.

Story Central Storytelling Slam

It's a community storytelling concert. It's a friendly competition. It's a chance to make new connections and renew old ones. If you can join us in person, come for the delightful cafe atmosphere, coffee and tea, cookies and 5-7-minute personal stories (not read or memorized) from the audience. First prize: $50. Gather the family together to visit the Pondhawk Natural Area to read Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea, by Jan Peck. A young sea diver encounters numerous sea creatures while hunting for treasure. But not every undersea creature is friendly, as the explorer finds out when he's discovered by a shark. Fortunately, the young diver is safe in his own bathtub.
