As the Library celebrates our 2022 initiative, Cultural Connections, here's a chance for your whole family to check out the variety of food trucks selling foods from around the world! Music, games and crafts for children will be offered. Read for the Record: Nigel and the Moon, by Antwan Eady

The Boca Raton Public Library and the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County join Jumpstart's national Read for the Record, which brings together millions of adults and children around the world each year to read the same book on the same day to raise awareness about early literacy. This year's book is Nigel and the Moon, by Antwan Eady. This book encourages children to celebrate who they are, where they come from and who they want to be. No enrollment required.

Art Exhibit: Nomad Be Happy, by Ma Nong
Now through October 7, during regular library hours

The Downtown Library presents the art exhibit, Nomad Be Happy, by Ma Nong. Painting in oil on canvas, the artist uses a combination of cubes and bold colors to "symbolize complex units that both comprise and undermine identity." Originally from South Korea, Ma Nong currently lives in South Florida.
