Tuesdays at Two Book Club (in-person and virtual)Tuesday, May 3 at 2 p.m. The group meets every first Tuesday of the month at 2 p.m. The books are selected by the members and are a mixture of fiction (all genres) and nonfiction. Hook & Loop Group (in-person and virtual) Wednesday, May 4 at 11 a.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium
Come and join the Hook & Loop Group, a monthly gathering of yarn crafters who like to knit, crochet, embroider, and such. Bring your own project to work on or use some simple supplies and patterns we will have on hand. All skill levels are welcome. We share each other’s company and maybe a tip or two about a project. Color & Coffee Group Friday, May 13 and 27 at 10 a.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium Relax and relieve some stress by dropping in to do some coloring and socializing. The library will provide coloring sheets, pencils and gel pens. Coffee and hot chocolate will be available. Free and open to the public.

Art by Willie Welch Exhibit May 1 - June 29 Reception May 21 from 1-4 p.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium Accomplished artist Willie Welch will be displaying his art at the Lewisville Branch during the months of May and June. Lewisville Branch Reading Challenge Reading Logs due Saturday, Dec.10Take our yearlong reading challenge for your chance to win a $25 gift card to Bookmarks. The challenge has two levels: Beginner and Aficionado. You can choose to read one or both challenges.

Friday Family Film: "Raya and the Last Dragon" Friday, May 27 at 4 p.m. Lewisville Branch Auditorium
Join us for our Friday Family Film "Raya and the Last Dragon" in honor of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures. In a realm known as Kumandra, a re-imagined Earth inhabited by an ancient civilization, a warrior named Raya is determined to find the last dragon. Starring Gemma Chan, Daniel Dae Kim, and Sandra Oh. Nature Notebooks Due May 31
When participants have completed their notebooks, bring the notebooks to the Lewisville Branch for a prize. Participants will have until May 31 to complete their notebooks. Each Nature Notebook comes with a packet of native wildflower seeds. Presented by Stormwater Smart of The Piedmont Triad Regional Council. Teen Advisory Board Will resume in the fall. The Teen Advisory Board is made up of Lewisville Branch's teen volunteers. We meet virtually usually on the first Monday of the month (during the school year) to discuss ways to improve the library. The Teen Advisory Board helps to plan programs, create displays, and suggests resources that the library should purchase.
