Book Lovers' Club Meets on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Join us in the library auditorium for a group book discussion each month. (Part of On The Same Page)

Clemmons Cookbook Club Meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and we’ll make a copy for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. The Friends of the Clemmons Branch Library are hosting a book sale in the library auditorium on the following dates: Thursday, Sept. 15: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The 2022 On The Same Page community read selection is The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray. On The Same Page events run from Sep. 22 through Nov. 19. |

Creating a Family Recipe Book Thursday, September 22 at 10 a.m. Take a new approach to family history by documenting your family’s recipes. You could gather them for family gifts, incorporate them into a family history, or even start a blog. This presentation will cover how to start your project, examples of family recipe books, the variety of what you can include, and how to preserve family recipes.

Movie: Downton Abbey: A New Era Wednesday, September 28 at 2 p.m. Downton Abbey’s Crawley family goes on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess' newly inherited villa. 125 minutes. Rated PG.

Chef Floyd: Banana Splits Wednesday, October 5 at 11 a.m. The renowned Chef Floyd Davis will offer a dessert demonstration in the library auditorium. He will prepare and share the history of the Banana Split dessert, which achieved immortality during the time period of The Personal Librarian.

Bookmark Art Contest Calling young artists! The Forsyth County Public Library Bookmark Contest has begun. All children and teens from grade Pre-K through grade 12 may design a bookmark to enter. Entries will be accepted at all Forsyth County Public Library locations through Monday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. Winners selected will be invited to an awards ceremony and luncheon on Nov. 2 or 3. Winners will have their bookmarks distributed by the library during the course of the next year. Entry forms may be downloaded by clicking here or can be picked up at any library location.

Coloring sheets for children and teens are available for free in the lobby of the Clemmons Branch Library. Pick one up today and show off your artistic side!
