CLEMMONS BRANCH LIBRARY NEWSLETTER
The Clemmons Branch Library gears up for summer with events for all ages.  From book clubs and educational classes for adults to story times, crafts, games, fire trucks, and police dogs for children, there is something for everyone at the library in May and June!

Understanding Your Credit Score
Thursday, May 11 at 10 a.m.
Discover how credit scores are determined, how to raise your credit score, and how to avoid common mistakes that lower your score.

Creating Family Memory Books
Thursday, June 15 at 10 a.m.
Take a new approach to documenting family history by learning how to create a family memory book, such as baby books, genealogical research, family line history, or even an online blog.

Community Resources Referral Services
May 17 and June 21 at 2 p.m.
Peer support specialist Jose Perez will be at the Clemmons Branch Library once a month to discuss the services he offers, including housing assistance, food & clothing assistance, mental health services, and financial assistance.
Triad Americana Jam Sessions
May 8, May 22, June 12, June 26 at 6 p.m.
Join us in the Clemmons Branch Library auditorium on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 6 p.m. for Triad Americana Jam Sessions. Players of all abilities are welcome.

Meets on the third Wednesday of
the month at 12:30 p.m.
 
Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and we’ll make a copy for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend.

Tinker Tuesdays
May 2 and June 6 at 4 p.m.
Make creations out of Legos, K'nex, Lincoln Logs, and Marble Maze materials. All ages welcome.
Music and Movement
Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m.
Join us for dancing, singing and shaking out those sillies!
Board Games
May 23 and June 27 at 4 p.m.
Grade school students, tweens, teens, and their families are invited to play chess and other board games once a month at the library.
Celebration Wednesdays
May 10, May 24, June 14, and June 28 at 5 p.m.
Learn about obscure holidays, make a craft, and bring a phone or tablet to compete in interactive games.
Family Movie Night
Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
Enjoy a family friendly movie in the story time room every Wednesday night.

The Forsyth County Public Library's Summer Reading Program Passport to Your Community will run from June 9 through August 4. Visit the Clemmons Branch in June for these events:

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit will visit the Clemmons Branch Library for a demonstration.
S.T.E.A.M. For Kids

Friday, June 23 at 3:30 p.m. 
Join us as we do STEAM activities with Jeffrey Cates from NC Cooperative Extension. Suitable for ages 5-11.
Fire Truck Visit

Wednesday June 28 at 1:30 p.m. 
The Clemmons Fire Department will stop by to show and explain their equipment and discuss fire safety.
