CLEMMONS BRANCH LIBRARY NEWSLETTER
Book clubs and an author visit highlight the schedule in May at the Clemmons Branch Library.  Then June sees the return of in-person Summer Reading, featuring events for children and adults.  With Magicians, bands, dogs and more there are plenty of ways to stay cool this summer at the library!
Autism Book, Burst, Bash!
Saturday, May 14 at 2 p.m.

R.V. and Maureen Kuser will present an information session on autism and the inspiration behind their latest children’s novel on the subject.
 
Set in Winston Salem, Weight a Minute is about the Weight family and their child Randy, who is on the Autism Spectrum. As the Weights work hard to support Randy with social interaction, they slowly become aware that they have more in common with him than they ever thought possible.

Clemmons Cookbook Club
Meets on the third Wednesday of
the month at 12:30 p.m.
 
Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book in the library and we’ll make a copy for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend.

Summer Reading Kickoff
Join us for the Summer Reading Kickoff at the Central Library in Winston-Salem on Friday, June 10 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This event will feature exciting activities for all ages.

Professor Whizzpop will be in the library auditorium combining humor and magic to wow and amaze as only he can.
Summer Reading Fun With The K-9 Unit
Tuesday, June 21 at at 10:30 a.m.
 
The Forsyth County Sheriff K-9 Unit will visit the Clemmons Branch Library to demonstrate the important work done by the animal officers.
Captain Jim is Magic
Wednesday, June 29 at 10:30 a.m.
Captain Jim and Lady Louisa will make a special appearance in the library auditorium to perform their famous magic act.
Big Bang Boom
Thursday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m.
Get ready to rock with Big Bang Boom as the "kindie rock" group tears the roof off the library with their unique style of parent-friendly children's music!

Civil War Genealogy

Movie: Ghostbusters: Afterlife
