The WCCLS version of Lynda.com will become LinkedIn Learning on May 20. In anticipation of this change, we wanted to share answers to a few common questions.
How will LinkedIn Learning be different from Lynda.com? LinkedIn acquired Lynda.com and has incorporated Lynda.com content into its own platform. LinkedIn Learning will have a new look with an easier-to-use interface. It will include thousands of new courses in 7 different languages (English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Mandarin, and Portuguese).
How will I log in to LinkedIn Learning? The log in process will be simplified. You will only need your library card number and password. A separate Lynda.com or LinkedIn account will not be required.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for this change? No. You can continue using Lynda.com right now, and then anytime you log in with your library card after May 20 you will get access to LinkedIn Learning. Your Lynda.com learning history will transfer to LinkedIn Learning with the library card number you use now.
Will LinkedIn Learning store my personal information? No. Since you will only log in with your library card, LinkedIn Learning will not ask for or store your personal information. WCCLS works with many third-party vendors who provide resources, so we encourage you to view the WCCLS Privacy Statement if you want to learn more.
