Tai Chi on the Lawn Weds. | May 4,11, 18, 25 | 6:30pm Join us for beginner’s Tai Chi every Wednesday with Diane Christensen from the Highland Rec Center. Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner, accompanied by deep breathing to increase balance and flexibility. Spring Foraging Workshop Sat. | May 7 | 10am-12pm Have you wanted to learn more about foraging and plant identification? Julie Mullis will teach a lecture style program with a focus on spring and early summer plant identification. She will bring samples as well as show pictures of different stages of plant growth and discuss preparation of foraged plants. Mullis has years of experience in outdoor and environmental education, including work with the National Parks Service.
