The Waters of North Carolina Community Art Show Invitation June 1 – August 15 This summer experience the oceans possibilities right here in North Carolina. Share with the library any 2D art from which showcases North Carolina waterfalls, creeks, streams, lakes, or more! You may bring in original art or submit digital images to learninglab@hickorync.gov. Art will be accepted starting May 9th and may be submitted through the duration of the Summer Learning Program. Please scan images at 300 dpi. If you need help scanning your work, visit us at the library and we will be glad to help you. No art work will be returned. Include your name, age, and title/subject on your image with your submission to be displayed. You may also submit anonymously. This is not a competition. This is a community art show. Prehistoric Adventure Sat. | June 25 | 11am Travel back in time to explore ancient creatures. Discover how they looked, lived, and interacted with each other by observing real fossils. Squid Dissection with Catawba Science Center Sat. | June 25 | 2 & 3pm Explore the insides of a squid in this hands-on dissection program led by staff from the Catawba Science Center.
