We cannot express enough appreciation for your response to our plastic recycling program. Between our patrons and community partners we are well on our way to keeping HALF A TON of plastic out of the landfills/oceans in 2022. Our amazing staff and volunteers have been spending hours every day sorting, weighing and repacking all your donations and they have made a couple of requests that if fulfilled would make their jobs easier. The first one is to please remove any paper labels from your donations. It is a privacy concern, Trex doesn't want them and about 1/3 of their time is spent cutting them out. The second one is please take a moment to read the list of items we can't use. The third and final request is to make sure your donations are DRY and free of any food residue. The volunteers and staff of the Pine Bush Library would like to thank you in advance for your time, your donations and your consideration.

CHECK OUT OUR LATEST VIDEOS Some older adults get upset with the thought of being alone and feel more comfortable being with a friend/family every day. There are some who relish the idea of having alone time and are okay doing activities alone occasionally. When was the last time you took yourself out on a date or traveled by yourself? Self-dates and solo travel can be a powerful tool for learning how to be happy alone. We can’t depend on other people to satisfy all our needs, so we need to learn how to be our own best friend and entertain ourselves. We were never taught to take care of our own needs first and for some it’s very difficult. Happy people who love their own company are fun to be around because they share their joy with others. In this program, you’ll learn powerful tools to be happy as your own best friend. Watch Nate the dog man demonstrate obedience and training techniques. MAKING CRANBERRY SAUCE
