November The Light in Ordinary Days: New Paintings by Dan Lukens continues to be on display in our gallery spaces. We look forward to the day we can once again have in-person programming and celebrate his art with a reception. From the artist..... As Emerson wrote, “ Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.” The best in our lives, I believe, resides in familiar things and often overlooked places. In a path well traveled, foliage changing with the season, or a face we know, there is a refuge in the sublime light in ordinary days. Shared in these new paintings is an ode to local life and a homage to the ties we carry with us.
