Support the

high school students of Sullivan County as they read their original poetry at the

Third Annual Youth Poetry Festival

on

Sunday, April 14th at 2:00pm.

Youth Poetry Festival

This year's festival will be held at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and will run in tandem with the Youth Art Festival. Enjoy an afternoon of original poetry, art, music and refreshments.

FREE Tax Forms

With the excitement of spring comes the necessity of taxes. Stop by the library to pick up your 2023 tax forms. If you don't find what you're looking for, ask the circulation clerk to print what you need. There is no charge for tax forms. 

FREE Solar Eclipse Glasses

Pick up a pair of free solar eclipse glasses (while supplies last) at the library before the solar eclipse on April 8th!

 A partial solar eclipse of 95% will be visible in Livingston Manor starting at 2:10pm and hitting the maximum at 3:25pm. It is important to note that you must travel further north to be within the path of totality to see the total solar eclipse.

The Golden Age of tourism in Sullivan County (1940-1965) was a magical time when 538 hotels, 1,000 rooming houses, and 50,000 bungalows provided accommodations for millions of visitors every summer. Many of these hotels were owned by Jewish families who were providing a place for other Jewish families to vacation. Join SC Historian John Conway for a look at some of the Livingston Manor resorts of that era.
