Ulster County Food Fight: The Great Give Back 2021 September 1 - October 18 Drop off donations at the library. In 2020 Gardiner Library was crowned the "Food Fight Victor". Let's keep our title! As part of New York State’s “The Great Give Back” Ulster County Libraries are “competing “ to see who can get the most donations. All donations to the Gardiner Library will be given to the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Gardiner.

GOST (Gardiner Open Studio Tour) Art Show September 17 - October 31 GOST is an independent all-volunteer organization that is comprised of artists from Gardiner and the surrounding area. Their annual studio tour was cancelled this year but a sampling of work by some of the 22 artists is on display now at the library. Come show your support!

Italian Conversational Class is back! Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:30 PM Meets in-person outside or inside with masks. This weekly virtual class is designed for people who have some knowledge of the Italian language and would like to improve their conversational skills.
Dr. Ornella Lepri Mazzuca is a native speaker of Italian and has been facilitating the conversational class at the Gardiner Library since 2016. She graduated from the University of Urbino, Italy, with a Doctorate in English, French and Italian.

Ac. for an evening of Qi Gong and Tai Chi inspired meditations and breathing exercises. Dr. Santander is an Acupuncturist and Martial Artist, specializing in Medical Qi Gong, TCM Orthopedics, Herbology and Bonesetting. He operates a small Acupuncture and Herbs clinic in Peekskill, NY and does teaching and consulting remotely.

Ukuleleans! Ukulele Club 6 - 8 PM Meets second Wednesday of the month. Meets in-person outdoors or in the community room.
All ages welcome, from beginner to experienced. Our aim is to encourage one another along as we have fun with this uniquely upbeat instrument.
Jeff Pfeffer has been playing the ukulele for 20+ years, giving lessons to beginners along the way.

SongClub is a drop-in singing experience aimed at bringing communities together through singing original arrangements of familiar songs in a safe and welcoming environment.

Nick takes the time to explore and identify local trees, flowers, rocks and other kinds of animals, along with the birds, while noting the seasonal changes. Become one of the "regulars" and meet some new people.

Slow Jam Meets third Sundays of the month. 3:30 - 5:15 PM Meets in-person outdoors or in the community room. Are you new at playing an acoustic instrument and would like to practice with some friendly, local musicians? Participants play at a slower pace so everyone will have a chance to learn the songs. All musicians and acoustic instruments are welcome. No audience, no pressure, just lots of fun.
