Bard Math Circle with Mason Eyler Sundays 10:30 - 12:30 PM All middle school students welcome. Bring pencil and paper. Free. For middle schoolers interested in mathematical problem solving, especially for those preparing to take the AMC 8 or MathCounts. Led by New Paltz High School student and Upstate New York Math Team member Mason Eyler, students will develop their mathematical problem solving skills in the context of mathematical topics not frequently encountered in school, like Combinatorics, Number Theory, Algebra, Logic and Geometry.

Dr. Ornella Lepri Mazzuca is a native speaker of Italian and has been facilitating the conversational class at the Gardiner Library since 2016. She graduated from the University of Urbino, Italy, with a Doctorate in English, French and Italian. She later earned an MA in Spanish and Linguistics and a PhD in Spanish Literature.

Community ReikiFirst Sundays noon - 2 PM First come, first served. Free 20 minute reiki sessions Recipients sit in a chair or lie on a comfortable table, clothed, while the practitioner lightly places hands on or above the recipient. The effect is of peace and deep rest for the recipient. HV Community Reiki has been providing Reiki sessions at the Gardiner Library since 2017. COVID protocols in place.
H.V. Community Reiki practitioners possess multiple certifications that can include Reiki I and II as well as Master level certifications in various styles including Usui/Tibetan, Komyo, Karuna, and Animal Reiki.

Virtual Community Writing Workshop with Grace BialeckiMeets second Tuesdays 7 - 8:30 PM Open to all writers. Learn more and register here.This is a supportive space to get feedback on your writing projects, hone your editorial skills, and move your projects toward completion. We’ll start by giving comments on any pieces submitted to the group and finish with a writing prompt, if time allows. Readings will complement and inform our work as writers. Grace Bialecki is a writer, literary coach, and workshop facilitator. Her work has appeared in various publications including Catapult and Epiphany Magazine where she was a monthly columnist. Bialecki is the co-founder of the storytelling series Thirst, and the author of the novel Purple Gold (ANTIBOOKCLUB).

Are you new at playing an acoustic instrument and would like to practice with some friendly, local musicians? Play Old Time, Folk songs, Bluegrass, Western and other home spun type songs. Participants play at a slower pace so everyone will have a chance to learn the songs. No audience, no pressure, just lots of fun.

Botanical Hybrid Herbarium (and other related work) by Cynthia Winika: Art Show and Display Case Through December 31 A tongue-in-cheek show of Cynthia's recent work using pressed plants arranged as hybrids and grafts in the form of loose pages from a herbarium bundle and inspired by the botanic herbarium collections at the Paris Botanical Garden. The display case exhibit has some of Cynthis'a works on paper book arts. Cynthia Winika has been a Gardiner resident for 45 years. Her work is in many collections: SUNY New Paltz, MOMA, Cleveland Art Institute, Harvard, Yale, Skidmore, Vassar Fine Arts Libraries, and many more university and private collections here and abroad.
