Travel Snaps: Through Their Eyes! Photography Show Photographs by Silke Trester Through August 31 Silke makes connections with locals by capturing their spirit in travel snaps. Framed on upcycled construction materials, Silke illustrates further that the fellow humans she captured in front of her lens as well as the places she's been are raw, flawed, rough, inspiring and beautiful just as life itself. This show includes photos from India, Cambodia, Mongolia, Russia, Turkey, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Egypt, the Philippines, and South Korea.

Hand sew as a form of meditation, relaxation and socialization. Bring a portable project (knitting, crochet, etc...) and enjoy some "me" time while artfully stitching a favorite project. Birding Walks with Minnewaska Park Educator Nick Martin 8 - 9:30 AM Meet at the Gardiner Library lower parking area. Although bird-centered Nick will take time to explore and identify trees, flowers, rocks and other kinds of animals. Take an approximately one-mile walk on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail and wander through Majestic Park. Participants are encouraged to wear waterproof boots or shoes, bring binoculars, a birding field guide or a smart device with a field guide installed.

The Ukeleleans are back! Ukelele Club Wednesday, July 14 (2nd Wednesdays) 6 - 8 PM Meets outside (weather permitting) or indoors with masks. All ages welcome, from beginner to experienced. Have fun with this uniquely upbeat instrument. Individuals will be given the opportunity to perform for the group, if they desire, building confidence to perform in front audiences.
Jeff Pfeffer has been playing the ukulele for 20+ years, giving lessons to beginners along the way. He particularly enjoys tin-pan-alley, novelty songs, and sing-a-longs, with a focus on performance.

Slow Jam Sunday July 18 (3rd Sundays) 3:30 - 5:15 PM Meets outside (weather permitting) or indoors with masks. All ages welcome, from beginner to experienced. Are you new at playing an acoustic instrument and would like to practice with some friendly, local musicians? Play Old Time, Folk songs, Bluegrass, Western and other home spun type songs at a slower pace so everyone will have a chance to learn the songs. All musicians and acoustic instruments are welcome. No audience, no pressure, just lots of fun.

Family Birding Walk with Nick Martin Friday July 16 (rain date 7/23) 10:30 - noon Meet at the Gardiner Library. Join Nick Martin, Park Educator from Minnewaska State Park Preserve, for a birding program for families. Take a short walk on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail and into Majestic Park to look and listen for bird activity. During the program, stop to relax and listen to a short story focusing on birds.
