Award-Winning Author
Meg Medina, National Ambassador
for Young People’s Literature,
visits Newburgh Free Library

A capacity crowd of children, teens and adults were
treated to an unforgettable program presented by
Meg Medina as part of her national tour:
Cuéntame!: Let’s talk books

Newburgh Free Library has the distinction of being selected as one of a handful of locations in the U.S. for this national tour to emphasize books and stories
as a part of everyday life!

The early evening event on the Library Plaza featured activities, music, and an enthralling talk by Ms. Medina.  The author posed for photos with attendees and
smiles and laughter were plentiful! Her legions of
fans then lined up to have copies of her works
personally dedicated & autographed.

This very special day will live long in the happy memories of the community and the Library's staff!!
