ALA invites library users nationwide to nominate their favorite librarians for the prestigious I Love My Librarian Award.  Ten librarians will each receive $5,000 in recognition of their outstanding achievements.  Share the news with your patrons - provide them with this link & you may be a lucky awardee!

Pine Bush Library Farm Day -
A great time for families!
 
Over 400 attendees of all ages enjoyed a day of special events on the lawn of the library Saturday, August 17th. Animals, crafts, food, farm equipment, and local services information tables were part of the festivities...  
Thanks go out to ALL the volunteers who made the event a wonderful success!

Voter Engagement: The Suffrage Timeline (online)
Monday, September 16, 2024 ~ 1:00pm - 2:30pm
This interactive session (hosted by the League of Women Voters) will move participants through a simulation regarding the right to vote. Information regarding programs and services for member libraries to engage with their communities will be provided
Credit hours - Library Staff: 1.5 hours of Continuing Education

 Training: Freedom of Information Law

An overview of the Freedom of Information Law, New York’s access to records statute, will be provided by Kristin O'Neill, Deputy Director and Counsel for New York State Committee on Open Government (COOG)

Library Trustees: 1.5 hours Trustee Education
