2024 Banned Books Symposium:
Proactive, Reactive, Supportive
Saturday, May 4, 2024 ~ 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
Dutchess BOCES Conference Center 
Poughkeepsie, NY
 
This half-day conference will feature presentations
on banned and challenged books and programs. 
 Cost to attend $25. 
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.  
Questions regarding the Symposium and Scholarships available 
for the event may be posed to Jen Park,
RCLS Government Relations Specialist, at jen@rcls.org 
Attendance for this conference will result in 4 hours of continuing education credit for library staff and trustees.

This workshop led by RCLS Chief Financial Officer
Stephen Hoefer is for Directors, Trustees and Library Administrative staff that will be directly involved in
preparing the NYS Public Library Construction Aid application,
and is mandatory for those personnel.  
[Note: The due date for applications for 2024 is August 1st.]
2 hours Continuing Education credit for library staff
