 CELEBRATE this great
 Library Construction Aid News!!

2021 Construction Aid
RCLS was allocated an additional $198,456 towards last year's NYS Public Library Construction Aid applications bringing
the total amount in Aid to $1,635,475 - -
the most RCLS has ever seen!
RCLS congratulates member library recipients and extends
thanks for advocating to legislators.  Your advocacy efforts on
the critical need for repairs & improvements was instrumental in securing this increased funding from the State.
Libraries should see the initial 90% payments in the next 30 days.

 2022 Construction Aid
A total of 20 NYS Public Library Construction Aid applications
were submitted to RCLS for projects totaling $6,576,500.
This is the largest dollar amount in requests
we've ever had, and RCLS hopes State Aid will once again
be 'bountiful' for 2023. (Keep up the advocacy!)

Tuxedo Family
Fun Day!

The annual event, held October 8th this year, had everything from an Apple Pie Bakeoff to live music and hayrides.  Tuxedo Public Library hosted a children's story time, a craft table and sponsored a raffle basket.  Another terrific opportunity for the library to reach out and share a day of FUN with their community!

Suffern Library Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On October 12, Suffern Free Library celebrated the opening of its new outdoor patio, storytime gazebo and cafe with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new space, partially funded by the Woman's Club of Suffern, will expand the use of the Library to the outdoors where patrons will be able to enjoy their refreshments and gather in the amazing outdoor space. Members of the community, as well as local politicians, came out in support of the Library on what turned out to be a wonderful day. Members of the RCLS community are invited to visit Suffern Library's new outdoor space.

Smiles of pride
and happiness!
