Enjoy our new collection of Jigsaw Puzzles!Borrow a Jigsaw Puzzle from the Cobourg Library for 3 weeks, then bring it back for someone else to enjoy! Each puzzle is in a sturdy plastic container, with a handle for easy transport. Inside you will find an image of the puzzle to use as a reference, and information on how many pieces there are and (of course) the puzzle pieces! You will find this collection in our Reading Room on the 1st floor in the wooden display rack.

Canada Reads 2024The debates take place March 4th to 7th on CBC TV, CBC Radio and CBC Books Canada Reads is back! This year, the great Canadian book debate is looking for one book to carry us forward. When we are at a crossroads, when uncertainty is upon us, when we have faced challenges and are ready for the future, how do we know where to go next? This collection of books is about finding the resilience and the hope needed to carry on and keep moving forward.

Join the Ultimate Coding Competition through Fiero Code!This February join us for our first Fiero Code coding competition. The theme is “Moonlighting Marvin” and your challenge is to create a web page for a side hustle. Complete the challenge to go into the draw to win awesome prizes like codeable robots, Makey Makeys, and many more! This competition is for young persons aged 8 to 18 only. Registration is free for any students accessing Fiero Code through our Library.

Friendly Reminder Pre-Overdue Email Can you remember when your items are due? Would you like to save on fines, and possibly never have overdue items again? Of course you would! To sign up, simply provide a valid email address for staff to add to your membership. You will receive an email 3-days before an item is due, giving you time to renew it (if no one is waiting) or bring it back to the Library.

Period Promise - Help end period poverty We are proud to be a distribution and donation point for The Period Promise which is a collaborative effort between United Way and Thrive Northumberland to help eliminate period poverty. If you're interested in donating period products or are in need, please talk to staff or head to one of our washrooms. You can drop off your period product donations to our Cobourg Branch. Led locally by Thrive Northumberland and Northumberland United Way. Each donation will be used to provide access to period products throughout Northumberland.
