Thanks to a grant from the International Dyslexia Association, the library has ordered a selection of new titles to add to our Decodable Books for the children’s collection. Unlike the commonly-used leveled reader, decodable books are made to teach letter sounds and help children learn to “decode” what they’re reading without guessing. These readers can be used by anyone, but are particularly helpful in providing reading practice for readers with dyslexia.
