Job Posting: Head of Borrower Services
Join our Leadership Team and manage a superbly dedicated, hard-working circulation staff in our busy and well-loved library. Forbes Library ranks in the top ten (for our population group) statewide for annual circulation — and we're fine free! We are looking for a Head of Borrower Services (open due to a retirement) who will embrace and uplift Forbes Library’s values:

Baby Storytime Tuesdays, 10 am Join us to read books, sing songs, play with puppets and toys, and meet other babies and caregivers! The first 20 minutes are storytime, followed by 40 minutes of free play with toys. Ages 0-18 months and their caregivers. Space will be limited to 15 patrons.

Bilingual Storytime/Libros y Canciones Wednesdays, 10 am
Sing songs and read books in English and Spanish! This event is best suited for children ages 1.5-3. We will meet outside on the library lawn. In inclement weather, we will move to the community room and cap attendance at 15.

Teen Anime & Manga Club Wednesday, July 27, 2022, 4 pm
Chat with other fans while we watch a different anime every month! We'll have craft supplies for making fan art and plenty of manga to check out. We'll meet on the last Wednesday of every month from 4-5pm in the Community Room. For teen patrons ages 12 and up only. |

Cinema Northampton Presents: The Empire Strikes Back Wednesday, July 27, 2022, 8:30 pm
Cinema Northampton Strikes Back! Free monthly outdoor movie screenings return this summer with the original Star Wars trilogy. We encourage you to bring drinks, snacks, bug spray, flashlights, lawn chairs, blankets and light sabers to these free outdoor screenings.
If a screening is postponed due to rain we will update the facebook event page.
We will have subtitles on. We will have a bathroom open in the library.
Screening times are based on when the sun sets. The screen can not be seen during daylight. |

Tarot Party with Laura Campagna Saturday, July 30, 2022, 3 pm
Tarot offers a pictorial representation of our soul’s journey through this lifetime. The cards depict our emotional and spiritual landscape and provide insight into our innermost selves. Readings validate our intuitive knowledge, help us gain confidence, and open us up to greater awareness. Come with questions or general curiosity to a 10-15 minute tarot reading with tarot reader Laura Campagna. Recommended for teens and young adults.
