Damnation Spring

A beautifully written novel set in a California logging community in the 1970s, following the residents as they grapple with their relationships to each other, to the logging company, and to the earth. At times heartbreaking, but also shot through with love and hope.

Murder Most Fowl
by Donna Andrews
Recommended by: Brandee
This is the 29th book in her Meg Langslow’s series, and it’s a delight from the first page. Over the years, Meg has dated, gotten married, and had twin boys. Those boys are now teenagers! Along with a mystery to solve, there are zany characters, crazy relatives, all kinds of mischief and lots of animals! I love that no matter how much time has gone by, I can quickly remember the characters within just a few pages. When I pick up one of these books in the series, I know that I will have a fun, quick read ahead of me. One of my favorite cozy mystery series.
