MUSIC at the LIBRARY

Speaking of shutting down the streets...

On Friday, June 24 from 3-6pm Claremont is hosting a three hour live music festival, "Benvenue Beats," out front in the street with performances by Cascada de Flores, Asheba and California Blues Runners.

Author Conrad J. Benedicto, will be at Tarea Hall Pittman South this Saturday at 2pm for a reading from his debut fantasy novel, Musalya's Gift.

After the reading, Benedicto will present a Kulintang performance, playing some of the traditional Filipino music at the heart of the novel.

Tarea Hall Pittman is having a summer jazz concert outside with Saxophonist Oluyemi Thomas on Saturday, June 18 at 1:30pm.

The Library's own Story Time Band is doing a local park tour on Thursdays, rotating park performances around Berkeley all summer long.
