#PlantWildflowers Program Series
 
We're excited to launch this series as part of a nationwide grant, focused on local native plants and supporting local pollinators, stemming from the documentary My Garden of a Thousand Bees.
 
Join us for events with community partners such as Transition Berkeley, Peralta Community Garden, Pollinator Posse, Bring Back the Natives Garden Tour, Planet Bee, and the Museum of Children's Art, from April through July! We'll have events for kids of all ages, with more announced in the coming months.

Spring Break Scavenger Hunt - 1 Week Left!
The official event is over, however if you still need to visit your 2 libraries to find the hidden library card, you have until the end of April to turn in your card to win a $5 gift card for the Friends of the Library bookstore! ($5 at the bookstores can mean a stack of books!)

There are walking instructions and bus routes listed on the back of the gamecards - this is a family-friendly way to check out some of our libraries you haven't visited recently!

Events w/ Partner Bay Area Book Festival
The Bay Area Book Festival is returning live and in-person May 7 & 8 in Downtown Berkeley!
 
Among nearly three dozen free programs for kids and teens, the Berkeley Public Library is partnering with the Festival on two programs celebrating the hundredth anniversary of the Newbery Medal.
