Reading is Instrumental Returns
New Episodes on Fridays at 11am
 
This beloved musical story time, popular with all ages, is back! Each episode features a Bay Area celebrity reading a children’s book with music and commentary by members of the Berkeley Symphony.

Season 3 of Reading is Instrumental features: 
  • Bay Area-based comedian and writer Josh Kornbluth reading The Monsters' Monster written and illustrated by Patrick McDonnell with Joan Cifarelli on piano. 
     
  • Artist Tabitha Soren reading The Napping House written by Audrey Wood and illustrated by Audrey & Don Wood with cellist Stephanie Wu.
     
  • Scientist Judith Klinman reading Ada Twist, Scientist written by Andrea Beaty and illustrated by David Roberts with flutist Stacey Pelinka.
     
  • Assistant Coach, Golden State Warriors, Chris DeMarco reading Drum, Dreamgirl written by Margarita Engle and illustrated by Rafael LĂłpez with Ward Spangler on percussion.
     
  • Congresswoman Barbara Lee reading Nighttime Symphony written by Christopher Myers and illustrated by Christopher Myers & Kaa Illustration with Matthew Szemela on violin.
