We will post all of the pictures on Lewisville Branch Library’s website and you may vote for your favorite creation via an online form from Oct. 26-28. The winning photo will be announced on Oct. 29. Thank you to the Friends of the Lewisville Branch Library for providing the prize. All ages are welcome to participate.

Paddison Memorial Branch Library
Kids and teens can pick up a DIY Crafternoon To-Go kit at the Paddison Memorial Branch Library during select weeks in October (Oct. 25-30) and November (Nov. 8-13) and will also have the option to attend a Crafternoon event outdoors in the library courtyard. The kit for kids is recommended for ages 4 to 11, and the teen kit is designed for ages 12 to 18. The kit themes will be Halloween for October and National Native American Heritage Month for November. Numbers-of-the-Week Kits and Letter-of-the-Week Craft Kits will be available for pickup at the Southside Branch Library. There will be a new set of numbers or letters every Monday. Work your way through the numbers 1-100 with your child or through the alphabet. Packets include a simple craft, activity sheets, and cut-out numbers or letters. Free, no registration necessary. Looking for a DIY craft kit for kids or teens? Stop by the Reynolda Manor Branch Library during the month of October to pick up a DIY craft kit, while supplies last. We have two kits for kids, recommended for ages 5 to 11. They are a Jellyfish Friendship Bracelet kit, and a Mask Making kit. A Journal Decorating kit is for ages 12 and up. To-Go Craft Kits are for preschool children and include supplies for a scissor-free craft (glue may be required). Each week, caregivers can stop by the Children's Room desk at Central Library to pick a Craft Kit. ABC of NC is offering parent and professional classes online, but clinic-services and lessons for preschool and most school age children through the Education Center are being offered on a regular schedule. The Autism Society of North Carolina offers a variety of resources and events for those with sensory processing differences and their families. Teens and Pre-Teens with special needs can join the Saturday Club at Brenner Children’s Hospital. This group meets the third Thursday of every month. Please visit the Brenner Children's Hospital visitation webpage to find more information about the times and requirements necessary for a visit. iClub at iCan House is accepting applications from young people, ages 8 to 14, who are interested in expanding their social skills and making new friends. iCan House also offers Real World Connections, a program for teens with the opportunity for both peer-to-peer and mentor-led interactions. This program focuses on communication, flexibility, and real world life skills among other things.
