Weekly Craft Kits
Mondays, during library hours
Southside Library
Numbers-of-the-Week Kits and Letter-of-the-Week Craft Kits will be available for pickup at the Southside Branch Library. There will be a new set of numbers or letters every Monday. Work your way through the numbers 1-100 with your child or through the alphabet. Packets include a simple craft, activity sheets, and cut-out numbers or letters. Free, no registration necessary. Recommended for ages 5 years and younger. Please contact Jamall Grice at 336-703-2982 for more information.
After-School Fun at Carver
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Carver School Road Branch Library
Join us as we offer up a selection of crafts, puzzles, games and movies which are sure to cure the after-school blues. Activities are for all ages. If you have any questions, please call 336-703-2913 or email leonarzl@forsyth.cc. 
Virtual Preschool Crafts
Wednesdays, 11:30 a.m.
Virtual, please register here
Join us each week on Wednesdays for a virtual preschool craft demonstration. All crafts will require the following: scissors, glue (stick or liquid), tape, pen or marker. A limited amount of pre-assembled supply kits will be available for pickup at the Clemmons Branch Library.
Live Virtual Yoga for Beginners

Join Zoom Meeting: LIVE Virtual Yoga for Beginners
Join us at the Lewisville Branch or from home for a FREE session of yoga to help uplift your mind and strengthen your body. All fitness levels and ages are welcome. Registration is not required. Crafternoons
Jan. 10-15, Feb. 7-12, March 14-19
 

Paddison Memorial Branch Library
Kids and teens can pick up a DIY Crafternoon To-Go kit at the Paddison Memorial Branch Library during select weeks in January (Jan. 10-15), February (Feb. 7-12) and March (March 14-19) .The kit for kids is recommended for ages 4 to 11, and the teen kit is designed for ages 12 to 18. For more information contact Stefanie Kellum at kellumsm@forsythlibrary.org. 
Wind-Down Yoga
Thursday, Jan. 13, 5:30 p.m.
Paddison Memorial Branch Library
Local instructor Lisa Kushner invites patrons of all fitness levels to join her to unwind and let go of any stressors from the week. This class will take place in our library auditorium where there is room for folks to spread out safely. Masks are not required at this time, but are strongly encouraged.  Sensory-Friendly Fall Activity: Homemade Snow

Create a snow-filled sensory bin highlighting two senses: touch and smell. 
 
Materials:
  • 2 1/2 cups of baking soda
  • 1/2 cup of white conditioner 
  • Large bowl
  • Large bin 
  • Assortment of small toys 
Directions:
  1. Mix the baking soda and white conditioner in a large bowl until the two ingredients are combined.
  2. Add the snow into a large bowl.
  3. Add an assortment of small toys into the large bin. 
  4. Create snow creatures and find the small toys in the sensory bin.

ABC of NC
ABC of NC  is a nonprofit dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based diagnostic, therapeutic, and educational services to people with autism spectrum disorder; ensuring service accessibility to individuals from any economic background; offering support and hope to families; and advocating for inclusion and acceptance.

ABC of NC is offering parent and professional classes online, but clinic-services and lessons for preschool and most school age children through the Education Center are being offered on a regular schedule. Please visit their website and Facebook page for up-to-date information about select services being offering. 
 
Autism Society of North Carolina
The Autism Society of North Carolina offers a variety of resources and events for those with sensory processing differences and their families. For more information on the services they offer as well as access to their online calendar visit the Autism Society of North Carolina website.

Autism Society of North Carolina are offering limited in-person indoor programs. In addition, online webinars and virtual meetings are being offered. Please visit their website to find autism-specific resources for families seeking up-to-date information during the current COVID-19 situation.

Brenner Children's Hospital
Teens and Pre-Teens with special needs can join the Saturday Club at Brenner Children’s Hospital. This group meets the third Thursday of every month. For more information about this or other groups please call 336-727-2505. 
 
Wake Forest Baptist Health is allowing limited access to patients in Out-Patient and In-Patient Facilities. Please visit the Brenner Children's Hospital visitation webpage to find more information about the times and requirements necessary for a visit. 
 
iCan House
iClub at iCan House is accepting applications from young people, ages 8 to 14, who are interested in expanding their social skills and making new friends.
 
iCan House also offers Real World Connections, a program for teens with the opportunity for both peer-to-peer and mentor-led interactions. This program focuses on communication, flexibility, and real world life skills among other things. For more information about meeting times or to request an application for either program, please call 336-723-0050 or visit the iCan House website.
 
iCan House is offering limited in-person meetings, visit their Facebook Page to attend those programs and about joining their Virtual Club meetings.
