I am very happy to share with you that the COVID-19 Vaccine is going to be here next week. (Dates and times are still not confirmed by KFLA Public Health).
As was shared with you on Friday, the consent form for residents who have POA’s making decisions, were mailed out. We need to confirm numbers with KFLA Public Health as to who has consented to the vaccine.
Tomorrow, January 20, we will be reaching out to all POA’s to obtain a verbal consent for this vaccine. Please plan to have confirmed your decision as to the resident receiving this vaccine. We will still require you to return the signed document to us as quickly as possible. Feel free to sign the document and take a picture of it with your phone and email it to us if that is easier for you.
Due to the limited supply of vaccine, we are only able to provide vaccine to the one designated essential caregiver at this time. Please sign your consent form and return to us by Thursday Jan 21 so that we can have an accurate count of the vaccines required. (You can sign, take photo and email to us if that is easier or drop it off with the screeners)
You will need to ensure you have a current COVID swab so that you can enter the building next week to receive your vaccine.
Things are moving very quickly but we are certainly very excited to be able to get this vaccine at JMPC!!!
