Special Newsletter for the
Designated Essential Caregivers
March 28, 2021

Thank you for your patience and kind words that we have heard from you during this stressful time.
We have received almost all resident swab results returned as of this morning and they are all negative. This information comes from a lab in Kingston and we simply wait for them to post the results. Will have a complete update for you in tomorrow’s newsletter.

We have swabbed over 150 staff since Friday and all of those results are also negative thus far.
Again, more information will follow tomorrow.

So far, this is all super encouraging and we are very thankful for all of your support!

As you know, Rapid Antigen testing is done on Monday’s and Tuesday’s at the Home. We are proceeding with this testing process as usual but it will only be for the ONE pre-designated Essential Caregiver at this time.

If you are not the ONE essential caregiver please refrain from coming in.

The ONE essential caregiver will also continue to be required to obtain their PCR swab from the Assessment Centre on a non-consecutive day (Wed – Sunday) as usual.

Thank you,

Angela Malcolm RN
Director, Long Term Care Services
