There are several movies and miniseries coming out soon that are based on books. The Last Thing He Wanted, a thriller on Netflix, is based on the novel of the same name by Joan Didion. Lisey's Story, the creepy romance miniseries on Apple TV+, is based on the Stephen King novel. Cherry is also on Apple TV+, and is a drama based on Niko Walker's book. French Exit by Patrick Dewitt is a witty and humorous story of an aging Manhattan socialite who moves to Paris to recover some of her former glamorous life. It's in theaters now and stars Michelle Pfeiffer. The Netflix movie Things Heard and Seen was first a novel titled All Things Cease to Appear by Elizabeth Brundage. A heart-wrenching book based on a true story, Two Kisses for Maddy by Matthew Longelin, will also be a movie on Netflix next month titled Fatherhood. Lastly, Liane Moriarity's book, Nine Perfect Strangers, has been produced into a miniseries for Hulu, debuting next month. We have all these books at the library, so read them now before you watch the movies and miniseries, because the book is always better!
