The Cranbury Public Library will be CLOSED from October 17 to November 7 while we move into our new building!
The new library is nearly complete! October will be a busy month for staff as we prepare and move into the new space. Once the construction crew is done we just have to wait until the building inspections are completed. When we are issued the temporary certificate of occupancy then the moving will begin!
In anticipation of our move, I am announcing tentative closing dates from October 17 to November 7. (We may be able to stay open a bit longer in October so watch our website or call the library for the latest information.) Check out books, PlayAways, and movies now so you will be prepared. Don’t worry. There are no late fees and you can keep the items you check out now until the new library opens in November!
While we are closed you can also visit other Middlesex libraries to check out materials. Use our catalog or the LMxPressPlus app to reserve items and pick them up at either Plainsboro or Monroe Public Library. Of course, all our digital resources, eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines and movies will remain available through eLibraryNJ, Libby and Hoopla. If you need assistance accessing these items, stop in the library before October 17 and Dean can set you up.
In October we will keep most of our regular programs going via Zoom (see below). Once in the new building, we will finally be able to offer in-person events! Our Grand Opening celebration will be held on Saturday, November 19 beginning with a short ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Events and tours will continue all day. Click here for the full schedule.
As you can imagine, I can’t wait to move in and see you all in the new library!
