FRED CLAUS
After growing up in saintly Nick's shadow, Fred Claus--Santa's brother--becomes a grouch who's lost his belief in Christmas. Then, one magical December, Fred flies north (first class via reindeer) to find brother Nick in trouble: a scheming efficiency expert is out to shut down Christmas forever! IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE
Frank Capra's classic film starring James Stewart, Donna Reed and Lionel Barrymore asks the question: have you ever wished you were never born? George Bailey, Bedford Falls' banker, has been so busy helping others that life, he thinks, has passed him by. Wanting to end his life when faced with financial ruin and possible arrest, George contemplates suicide. An eternally bumbling angel, Clarence Oddbody, reminds George of the many selfless acts he performed in his life, showing him how different life would have been had he not been born. Not rated. HOLIDAY INN
Bing Crosby plays a song and dance man who leaves showbiz to run an inn that is open only on holidays. Fred Astaire, his former partner, is also his rival in love. Follow the two talented pals as they compete for the affections of the same lovely lady (Marjorie Reynolds). The classic Irving Berlin song White Christmas as well as a dozen other holiday songs fill this musical with holiday joy. Not rated. Musical Collection.

JOYEUX NOEL (MERRY CHRISTMAS)
Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee for Best Foreign Film, Joyeux Noel tells the true-life story of the spontaneous Christmas Eve truce declared by the Scottish, French and German troops in the trenches of World War I in 1914. Enemies leave their weapons behind for one night as they band together in brotherhood and forget the brutalities of war. The sounds of warfare fade in the peace of Christmas Eve as a French lieutenant, a Scottish priest and a German tenor put their differences aside long enough to wish each other a sincere "Merry Christmas." MPAA Rating: PG-13. Foreign Film Collection. 

THE SANTA CLAUSE
Scott Calvin (Tim Allen), a divorced dad, is distressed to learn that his ex-wife's husband (Judge Reinhold) has told his son Charlie that Santa Claus does not exist. However, when Santa visits Charlie and his dad on Christmas Eve, Scott accidentally kills Santa. Scott puts on St. Nicks's suit and begins to turn into Santa Clause as Charlie regains his Christmas spirit. MPAA Rating: PG. Family Collection.

ELF
Once upon a Christmas Eve, an orphan baby crawled into Santa's bag of gifts and was taken to the North Pole. Raised by Papa Elf (Bob Newhart), Buddy (Will Ferrell) came to realize he doesn't fit in with the other elves. Determined to find a place where he belongs, Buddy searches for his real dad--in New York City where he finds him (James Caan) who is on the naughty list. But most importantly, he sees that the world is seriously lacking in Christmas spirit, which causes Santa all kinds of problems. So with the help of a beautiful department store elf, Buddy tries to teach his dad and the world the true meaning of Christmas and to prove that Santa (Ed Asner) really exists. MPAA Rating: PG. The Nutcracker
Performances by Mikhail Baryshnikov and Gelsey Kirkland bring to life the story of a small girl's dream on Christmas Eve. Baryshnikov is the toy Nutcracker-turned-prince, Gelsey Kirkland is little Clara and Alexander Minz is Drosselmeyer, the wizard who conjurs up the dream and eventually dispels it. Danced to the music of Tschaikovsky, this magical tale is brought to life by the sparkling dancers, wonderland sets and richly enhanced costumes. Not rated. Arts Collection.  

I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS
The holidays are for sharing. And Toot promised his best friend Puddle that he'd be back from his trip to Scotland by Christmas Eve. But when a huge snowstorm hits, how will Toot find his way back to cozy Woodcock Pocket? The answer involves a little determination, a little bit of luck,and some unexpected help from another mysterious holiday traveler. Not rated. Juvenile Collection.

THE POLAR EXPRESS
Get ready for the ride of your life. It's Christmas Eve, and you're about to roller-coaster up and down mountains, slip-slide over ice fields, teeter across mile-high bridges and be served hot chocolate by singing waiters more astonishing than any you can imagine on the Polar Express. Tom Hanks stars in this animated movie that makes every moment magical. MPAA Rating: G. Juvenile Collection.

THE SHOW MUST GO ON. CHRISTMAS IN MOUSELAND
It's Christmas and Angelina Ballerina is auditioning for the lead role in the musical extravaganza, Cinderella Mouse and the Ugly Whiskers. She is devastated when Priscilla Pinkpaws is chosen to play Cinderella and she is cast as the Wicked Stepmouse. Taking Miss Lilly's advice to "think horrid" much too literally, Angelina storms off in a fit of temper. Then a tobaggan race goes wrong and it seems that the production will have to be cancelled. Realizing how selfish she has been, Angelina determines to sort things out because...the show must go on. Not rated. Juvenile Collection.
