Construction of the new library is nearing completion and should finish up in August. Furniture has been ordered and will be delivered and installed in September. Equipment and books will arrive next. Once those are all set up (and we have a CO) we can open the new library! The Grand Opening Celebration will be scheduled for a Saturday in October. Plans are already in progress for a day full of interesting events, exhibits and speakers. We will offer tours of the new space and demonstrations of new equipment. Watch our website for the latest news and updates. And, of course, I'll keep you informed in this newsletter!
Our temporary pocket library will stay open through August. TheSummer Enrichment program is in full swing with many children participating. Read below for details of programs and prizes for participants. At some point in September we will need to close the library building for a brief period. I'll let you know the closing dates ahead of time so you can come in the pocket library one last time to borrow materials. While we are closed you will still be able to use your Cranbury library card to download ebooks and other digital materials. You can also use you card at other local libraries such as Plainsboro and Monroe. When we reopen it will be in the new building. Look for added materials, more programs and endless possibilities!
