They're back! Join us for this very special Storytime when Molly, Peach and Sadie from Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs return to the Library to be your Fur-tastic Reading Buddies! Recommended for ages 4-12. Registration required. Please register each child individually, as space is limited.
Join us in some fantastic, furry fun with the animals of Happy Trails Petting Zoo! Come and meet the menagerie, including sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and even a donkey! This event will be held in the outdoor courtyard and is suitable for all ages. Registration required.
The Didgeridoo Show is an energetic fusion of Australian music, culture, art, science, comedy, and more! The didgeridoo has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years, and is known for it's otherworldly sound. But the Didgeridoo Show is much more than music. It's interactive, educational, motivational, and super fun for all ages! This event will be held in meeting rooms 1 & 2. Registration required.
Welcome to Andrew's Big Show, a family friendly comedy/circus show involving lots of juggling, fun stuff, and interactions with kids and adults! Featuring yo-yos, spin tops, box stacking, pogo sticks, absurd human feats and more, Andrew's Big Show is something not to be missed!

Cinema Under the Stars: Movie Night at Cranbury Library

You are invited to the Premier Film Event of the Summer! Bring the family and join us for Cinema Under the Stars, a special outdoor viewing of a classic blockbuster movie (rated PG) to help kick off Cranbury Public Library’s Summer Enrichment Program, All Together Now. Popcorn and other refreshments will be available. You may bring your own snacks and drinks if you prefer; however, alcoholic beverages are prohibited. You are encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs, mats, and blankets for your viewing comfort.
Please be seated by 8:00pm at our outdoor patio, as the film will begin promptly at 8:15pm.
Create a beautiful mandala-like piece of art in the style known as zentangle. Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Participants will enjoy the relaxing benefits of this form of meditative drawing and engage their creativity. No prior art experience or skillset is necessary.
The transition from high school to college can be incredibly exciting. And it can also present some challenges for many students. Whether it’s making new friends, balancing various demands, creating a new routine, or asking for help, this transition is an amazing opportunity for growth. Making the Transition is a 90 minute conversation for high school students preparing for college. Based on research on the challenges of adjusting to a new life in college, as well as clinically proven coping techniques, this workshop helps students learn how to make connections, overcome fears, manage stress, and balance academic and social demands to succeed in the transition.
There are different types of caregivers and ALL are welcomed. This is a judgment free safe place to share, to learn and/or to just listen. It’s a place of love, empathy and respect. It is a place to share the triumphs, the challenges, the disappointments, the accomplishments or simply a place to vent and reset ourselves so we can carry on one day at a time. Stress - free, safe environment respectful of everybody's level of comfort and pace of engagement. Kat welcomes you with open arms! Kat Verdi is a Certified Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Trainer. She serves as a sound referral resource for anyone caring for a loved one. Her mission are the “3E’s” - to Educate, Empower and Encourage caregivers.

Mindful Movements and Guided Meditation

The goal of this session is to balance body and mind wellness along with cultivating qualities like resilience, presence, and compassion.
A meditation session will start with 5 minutes of relaxation practices followed by 20 minutes of mindful movements and end with 20 minutes of mindful compassion meditation practice.
Anyone, who would like to practice being present, calm, and centered are welcome to join.

Our expert instructor will guide you through the preparation of two or three mouth-watering Korean dishes, while sharing the wisdom and knowledge behind the ingredients and techniques. You'll learn about the importance of nature and balance in Korean cooking, and gain insight into the cultural significance and history of Korean cuisine.
To enhance your experience, we'll also screen a short documentary film on Bangjja, traditional Korean bronzeware, giving you a glimpse into the fascinating world of Korean cooking and dining. After the cooking demonstration, we'll indulge in a full Korean traditional meal served with Bangjja bronzeware.
