The Write Your Book Workshop
Wednesdays, 6:30 pm
Time to have a 'Write Your Book' summer! That's right - a whole book! Join author Casey Lyall and other teen writers on Zoom as you learn how to brainstorm your idea, outline your story, and work toward finishing your novel. Chat with other writers your age and share your work (if you want to!) while learning how to provide feedback for others. Join us and get that book written!
Learn graphic design basics and create your own masterpiece! Create your own design during our interactive Zoom session, then pick-up the laser cut final product at curbside. Participants will need access to a computer or laptop (not a smart phone or tablet) to participate in this program.
Tales & Trails: Poetry Walk Saturday Mornings, July 10 - August 14
Take a leisurely walk through a local trail while enjoying that week's selection of poetry or a short story. Registration will be required each week to receive the location information; the number of participants may be limited to align with provincial guidelines. Open to youth and adults.
Read a book in each of our 12 categories during 2021 for a chance to win! The challenge is open to Middlesex County Library cardholders of all ages. Books of any format and length can be used. Learn more and download the form on our website.
Sundays at noon we post the link to a brand new Kahoot quiz on our Facebook page and Twitter account (you don't need an account to participate). Share the link and challenge your friends; we post the full results Monday morning. Winners get bragging rights!
