Read to Win!Don't forget to email your completed July reading log sheets to programming@middlesex.ca for your chance to win a prize. Deadline is Friday August 6! We encourage Adventurers to keep reading through August, and use the reading log to track books read! We will have another prize draw at the end of August. Download the reading log, then colour a sun each time you read or are read to for 20 minutes. When the sheet is full, or at the end of the month email a photo or scan of your progress to us at programming@middlesex.ca to be entered into a prize draw! Printed copies are available at all curbside pickup locations.

Paint by Paint with Janet Wednesday August 4, 10:00am on Zoom Join artist Janet DeGazon as she walks you step-by-step through a painting. Unleash your inner artist and create a masterpiece! Each participant will receive a canvas and paints for this program. Please indicate which library branch you would like to pick-up your supplies from in your registration email.

Scientists in School: Sticky Science Wednesday, August 11, 10:30 am on Zoom Get sticky with it! Discover the science of sticky. Make your own glue from food products and test them to see how they hold. Create your own sticky art. And of course, there will be silly putty! Please indicate which library branch you would like to pick-up your kit from in your registration email.

The Great Comics Challenge August 9-20, ***Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, August 14*** Join us in celebrating Free Comic Book Day and test your powers with the Great Comics Challenge! Beginning August 9th, pick up a challenge card at an open branch of Middlesex County Library, or print your own from the link below. Complete at least 2 of the 6 challenges on the card, then return the card (with proof of challenges completed) to the library, the Sidekick Hangout in Strathroy or email it to programming@middlesex.ca and you could win a prize!
On or after August 14th, don’t forget to pick up a free comic from your library (library branches that are closed on Saturdays will have comics available on their next open day). While supplies last.
