Read: News of the World (2016-Historical Fiction) by Paulette Jiles. 213 pp (4.09/5 of 97,106 ratings). In the aftermath of the Civil War, Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd, an elderly widower and itinerant news reader, is offered fifty dollars to bring an orphan girl, who was kidnapped and raised by Kiowa raiders, from Wichita Falls back to her family in San Antonio.Film: News of the World (2021-Western Drama). Running time about 2 hours. MPAA rating: PG-13; for violence, disturbing images, thematic material and some language. KaddishIn Steve Brand's timeless documentary as bracing as any fiction, we witness a candid portrait of a young Jew coming to terms with his father's traumatic history.
